"Time Flies" by David Ives

A wacky one-act comedy: two mayflies on a date realize they have only twenty-four hours to live.

The Newtowne Players performed at the Maryland Community Theater One Act Festival in Frederick, MD on January 12-14, 2007. "Time Flies" by David Ives was performed under the direction of Morriah Cell. The performance was well received by the adjudicators and the results of the competition were announced on Sunday, January 14, 2007.

The Newtowne Players, in their second year of competition, came away with three awards including Outstanding Production Runner Up, Outstanding Performance for actress Sarah Raley-Dale, and an Adjudicators Award for Annie Whitmore's Outstanding Costume Design.

Winning Maryland Productions will advance to The Eastern States Theatre Association (http://www.estafest.org) ESTAFEST 2007 at the Ephrata Performing Arts Center in Ephrata, PA on April 13-15, 2007. ESTA is in Region II of the American Association of Community Theatre (www.aact.org).
